Statement

Asia (Asha) Popinska is a native of Poland who moved to the United States in 1996. She follows Buddhist philosophy, emphasizing compassion for all living things.

A physiotherapy technician by trade and a self-taught artist by desire and passion, she captures her interpretation of the world in photography and paintings. The art in both mediums expresses her whimsical perception of nature and immense love of the ocean, having grown up by the beautiful Baltic Sea.

Many people comment on her work as being evocative, which she considers the biggest compliment — since she often remarks that her creative process is an expression of her desires, feelings, passions, and sorrows.
